Horsepower Horseradish Vodka
OUR HORSEPOWER VODKA PROCESS
Our bartenders have been infusing our 276 Vodka with horseradish since we started our Sunday Brunch in 2018. These bloody marys have garnered some serious love over the years and we decided to make it a little easier for our bartenders by developing a horseradish infused vodka on the large scale distillery equipment.
We use our 276 Vodka as our base, which you can learn more about here, to which we add fresh, raw horseradish. We let this mixture sit to absorb the flavors of the horseradish tasting along the way. This process can take from 2 to 4 weeks depending on the freshness and flavor of the horseradish.
Once the appropriate amount of flavor has been infused into the vodka, we will filter out the horseradish pieces for proofing the vodka down to bottling strength. This Vodka is so popular in our bloody marys, we recently released our Bloody Mary Cans available for purchase at our Pendleton, Oregon headquarters.
DISTILLER’S NOTES
Horseradish is certainly a controversial flavor. We love the spicy and earthy flavor this adds to our bloody marys, but we also understand this as a personal preference. Yet, this is a fairly simple addition to our production processes and our bloody marys are so popular that we could not resist making this available to the public.
