OGG Clubhouse Report Day 8 & 9
/Time: 6:15 PM
Date: November 28th 2020
Temperature: 43 degrees / 6.1 Celsius
Mood: High on Life!
Wintertime and the living is easy. Members of the clubhouse lobbied for movie night while back and have received good news from the home office that their request was approved. The approval was the easy part as we found out everyone had different ideas for which movie to play. A few requirements had to be met had to be mostly politically correct and no nudity as we would be displaying outside for all the curbside folks. After communicating these requirements the list was much more smaller than when it started.
Shelby wanted to watch Better Off Dead, but could not find her VHS cassette tape so we went with the second option Real Genius from 1985 starring Val Kilmer aka Iceman from Top Gun.
Sales have been good even with the shutdown and the staff has been keeping busy tending to curbside orders. The clubhouse is feeling more like home everyday. The staff has a lot of ideas to increase morale and will be sharing them with you soon.
We were notified that the State of Oregon will allow outdoor dining with restrictions starting later next week. This is great news and adds new challenges. The staff sharpened their pencils and went to work on how we can allow outside dining safely and comfortably during the WINTER TIME!!! We shall see how it goes! More to come soon! We are working on adding a patio style roof to our existing pergola so that everyone can stay dry and kind of warm.
The clubhouse pepperoni supplies were running dangerously low so a trip to Hines Meat Co was in order. We were pleasantly surprised to see them hoisting their 18’ tree up for all of Pendleton to enjoy. Much bigger in person.
We are still tracking to launch our first every aged wheat whiskey on repeal day December 5th out on the patio. Going to be great!
As always we are thankful for your support.
XXXOOO,
OGG STAF
