Historically we are usually closed Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday during Thanksgiving week. Due to circumstances out of our control we decided to ask the staff if they wanted to rock a limited menu on Wednesday to do two things. One, get the staff more hours. Second, they wanted to make sure the hard working people of Pendleton were fed on the eve of Thanksgiving. Mission Accomplished!

Wire to wire the coldest day yet and spirits are high. Day started with copious amounts of sunshine even though Shelby dressed for an Arctic expedition. We forgot just how much the community loves breakfast burritos and were reminded this AM, wow!

Day 4 of the shutdown and situation normal. We do breakfast on the weekends starting at 9AM which allowed time for the staff in some much needed synchronized calisthenics before opening.

First propane levels for the main heat source are dangerously low. Middle management has been foraging most of the day and have found a few partially full tanks. We hope to make it through the night. Worst case scenario we can burn pizza to-go boxes for warmth.

Day two was busy with a little bit of sunshine and near misses. Shadow puppets and meatball subs for the win!

Spent the day getting acclimated to our surroundings. The modified carport is holding up just fine. 15 minutes after getting it installed this AM a 40MPH gust from the south tested every tie down and anchor, Seaira’s (who was in the Clubhouse/Tent) during the gust heart rate was elevated to 112 BPM during peak gust as the rest of the staff watched her battle from the safety of the distillery. She survived and is doing well.
